I've been wanting to ride the Iron Horse Trail for as long as I've lived in Washington - over seven years now. I tried once in the Springtime, but was turned back by snow and ice. Now it's Fall, but we haven't had any serious snow in the mountains yet...
So with a temperature of 29 degrees at the pass and snow in the forecast I headed up to the Cedar Falls Trailhead near Rattlesnake Lake.
